Double Dulcimer session with Barry Carroll.
June 2024 - I recently had the pleasure of meeting Barry Carroll, an incredible hammered dulcimer player and great guy. check out the album "An Mhéar Fhada". We a few tunes in the Cobble Stone in Dublin. Its was an inspiration to hear his playing and his instrument. I have made some changes to the design of the new dulcimer I am making, and to the note layout in the wake of this meeting with a master. The fire is lit!
Spring 2024:
Kicking off the new year on tour in Australia was a dream! Now I am back in the workshop making dulcimers (and fixing guitars). I just saved a 100 year old piano from the dump with the intention of making new instruments from it. Wish me luck dismantling!
Expect some new releases from MacBóchra very soon. Our first EP will be titled "Inis Ealga Inis Fáil"
The First single from the album I produced for Lynden Graham is available here:

Hot off the press! It's an exciting time. I'm looking forward to a trip to the Luke Kelly Festival this weekend.
Summer 2023:
Delighted to announce some upcoming dates:
Spirit World Rising perform at Prim's, Kinsale on June 15th.
Creepy Parade will be performed as part of Cork Midsummer Festival on June 17th.
After returning from a successful US tour playing Dulcimer with Lisa O'Neill, I'm delving into the world of Michael O'Shea, the legendary Irish Psychedelic Folk Dulcimer player. I'm constructing new instruments inspired by his unique style of playing on his own hand made instrument, Mo Chara.
